march 2026 update

Well, hello!  If you are reading this, you're probably surprised to see this update.  I tend to be much more active on Facebook and other social media and have neglected the actual website for a while.  Suffice to say there have been a lot of things going on.  The project barely got started before Doc (bass) moved out of state, the pandemic hit,  and then when it was over, my long time drummer, Tracy, developed a condition that affected the dexterity in his hands and could no longer play.  After that unforeseen unfortunate chain of events, I stepped away from playing live and have been focusing on my business that I run apart from my musical diversions.  I've also been collecting even more Dean guitars!  It's my goal to actually post an photo album of my entire Dean collection which is about 40 now.  I say “about” because I actually forget sometimes and have to check my spreadsheet.  My last acquisition was a Dean Straight Six Z… I think I'm good to stop for a while before I end up in the poorhouse.

But I digress… I'm getting ready to put the live band back together and also release some new music as well as  a recording of a cover song I did many years ago with the amazing, one-and-only Billy Sheehan playing bass.  Just have to do the final mix and of course license it because it is a cover after all!  Well, must wrap… I will be back soon with more info.  Love you all!

Blue Magic guitar Strings

THESE STRINGS ARE "MAGIC"... BLUE MAGIC!
I'm proud to say I've begun a relationship with Blue Magic guitar strings.  Check out my testimonial on their site.  Basically, after decades of being an Ernie Ball Super Slinky guy, I got to try some and gave them some serious testing.  I was very skeptical, but I ended up being very impressed and switched over and am stringing all my Dean guitars, including my new custom JSV, with Blue Magic strings.  Not only do they easily sound as good—or better—than Slinkys, but they last A LOT LONGER!  And guess what?  I did the math.  Because they keep their tone so much longer, they're costing me LESS!  Plus I'm getting hours of time back not having to change strings as often!
